My 16yo son had knee reconstruction surgery a month ago, and now I think his knee is infected.
Went to see the doctor. Now I'm sitting in the waiting room waiting for lab results to come back.

At least I have my smart phone with me. And I just learned that Netflix is now carrying seasons 7-11 of Agatha Christie's Poirot, which I'm very excited about. DH and I have been on a Poirot kick for a while now.
Ho hum. More waiting.

Awww... waiting is rarely fun. Except when it involves time away from children, in a quiet environment, with all your cyber friends with you..... hey, this is party time!! Get your party on, Kinsa!!

Waiting around at the hospital is horrible! I'd almost rather be at work than have to do that, tbh.
How's your son? I hope the doctor is able to find the source of the infection and treat it!

Yakky, you can't get much of "your party on" in a military hospital. (LOL)
Good news - no infection below the skin level. I was so worried that infection had taken hold inside the knee and mess up the new ACL he had reconstructed. Praise God it's only a skin infection!
So, the protocol is just an antibacterial ointment and keeping it clean.
