I am looking for healthy kinds of foods that are dehydrated (lightweight) to prepare on a multiple day backpack hiking adventure. I won't have refrigeration or cooler and would love if it can be somewhat healthy. Anyone have experience in this area or some stellar ideas to pass along?

You'll need lots of protein. Jerky, nuts, maybe small packages of peanut butter. My dd loves these: sun nut butter packages You can squeeze right from the package into your mouth or on a cracker or something. Those foil type packages of tuna would be easy to toke & eat. where are you hiking?

What about tortillas? You could spread PB on a tortilla. Are you taking a jetboil with? You could do small portions of pasta or better yet oatmeal.A quality cereal could be good.

Great ideas! I've started buying, as my adventure is coming up. I will have a mini-cookstove, Debbie, so yup, noodles & oatmeal for sure...not to mention coffee; I may die without that!
