It feels weird to type that as we are always trying to do the opposite. I might start giving her two bananas a day. And don't tell anyone but I'm going to break the rules and give her some mac and cheese. Then I'll probably give her some sliced cheese in a couple days. Cheese constipates her and I'm getting desperate. She finally pooped on the potty again today but it was still on the loose side of normal and prolapsed again. I was perfectly calm about it but she was unimpressed and asked to get put in a diaper again (had been back in undies for a few days). She is no longer allowed oatmeal and she HATES cream of rice, even if I make it with applesauce and cinnamon like I do oatmeal. I tried to cut up bananas in it. That didn't work. We're trying rice Chex too. She's getting annoyed she has to have something different from the other kids at church. Yesterday we had dinner with friends. Her best friend got to have milk and DD said there telling me, pitifully, "My tummy is better. My butt is better. I can have milk now." Of course, I am constipated and have some trapped gas and in pain from that and dealing with some freaky side effects from it. The prednisone doesn't seem to be clearing things up. I'm really thinking it is more like a cyst. Which is an easy fix (typically) but really, it's hard to take care of her and me at the same....especially when our diets need to be completely opposite right now. Can I hire a nurse for the next few weeks?

I'm sorry! It's hard enough to take care of your kiddo with something like this, but it's even harder when you aren't feeling up to snuff yourself! Praying you can all get nice and regular! (((Hugs))) Yes. Not to mention, I'm also worried about both her issue and mine (the big one, not the constipation thing). DD had two on the loose side of normal poops today after having normal, only once a day ones the last few days. I thought we were on track. So I gave her a banana for breakfast and another one as well as boxed mac and cheese for lunch. Dinner will be Today I have stopped giving her water with a splash of juice for flavor and am giving her watered down Gatorade instead (which she loves). I'm giving her a multi-vitamin again. If that will do anything to her, it will constipate. But it will help counteract the lack of veggies in her diet. Now if only I could get her to nap.....

Do the vitamins have extra iron? That might help stop her up.
