I just picked dd up from a slumber party, now she's getting ready to go to her best friend's roller skating birthday party. Then after that, we are going to dinner and then a hockey game.
This hockey game is a really fun one. After the home team makes their first goal, everyone throws teddy bears out onto the ice. One year there was 6,400 bears on the ice!! They load them up into pick up trucks that drive out onto the ice, and then donate them to charity.
After all the running around today, we may be leaving after the first goal!!  |

That sounds like a fun hockey game!
We're chilling out right now. In about half an hour my dh goes to the airport to pick up my son from college! (whoot!) Then I will once again have all my chicks back in my nest, until January!
(DH keeps quoting The Blues Brothers: "We're getting the band back together. We're on a mission from God.") (LOL)
Already got the groceries in place for the week. Need to start up laundry. Need to figure out where the boys are going to sleep over the next few weeks. (LOL) Tomorrow we are going to put up the tree, finally.
That's about it for our weekend!

Slow morning... Did chores and had coffee.
Ds1 went to a friends house, I took ds2 to the library for craft day. He made 5 crafts and had most of them wrapped.
Came home and everyone here rested while watching Netflix or TV.
I'm making an early dinner and then we have a christmas coffee house at church tonight. Dh and I are doing a set with two of our friends. We transformed they gym into a winter wonderland yesterday. Took about 4 hours but it is gorgeous!

I'm doing my ADD style cleaning because despite having the house nearly in order after Thanksgiving a couple of weeks of crazy around here and it is bad again. So I'm hitting every area for a few minutes at a time and moving on.

Busy day here . . . Baby and I had a Christmas party this morning and he got to meet Santa and Mrs. Claus. Home for a nap and then we have a Christmas cookie decorating party before we head out to my niece and nephew's birthday dinner. Most days our schedule is empty and then everything happens on the same day!

Was working this morning. This afternoon we have our work Christmas part - bowling and families are going!  Need to do dishes and finish wrapping my while elephant gift before them. DD is currently down for a nap - hopefully will be awake when we need to go. DS is working on his "homework" (simple page that the kindergartners do over the weekend) - this week it teen numbers (stuff he knew well before he started school). THen as far as I know nothing special this evening. Might start wrapping a few presents - we'll see. |

I worked from 10am to 2 pm. I worked nonstop the whole time. After I came home and chilled for a few minutes, the kids and I put up the tree. DD2 came home specifically to help us with the tree. When she got here she told me she's spending the whole weekend with us! :clap:
The tree looks very pretty. I also decorated the stair banister leading up to the top floor (we live in a split level). I have a trifle bowl that I put some Christmas decorations in as well as some Christmas figurines for the top of my piano.
I still have Mt. Laundry to tackle and I need to practice my flute music for tomorrow's service.
After a little while I'm going to make a stir-fry for supper.

saturday…I got kids up…one went to chess tournament (took 3rd place in the 6th graders)…ds2 went to a Trail Life outing. I had a party in the midday at a local pub…it was fun helping the regulars of the place get candles for their ladies for Christmas. Then I went to an actual Christmas Party and ornament exchange.
