We finally unpacked our desktop computer and got it set back up. It's been out of commission for... nearly two years? When I fired it up, I had 27,000+ updates. Anyway, I feel like I can type so much faster and more efficiently on the desktop compared to my laptop, and definitely compared to my smart phone. It's like a whole new freeeeeeeedommmm!!!!! Weeeee!!!!

LOL, 27,000 You'd think that they'd just want you to do the most current ones. I hate updates. I know that they're a good thing...but they always seem to pick the most inopportune times to do them. Did your son ever get the Surface? The keyboard on it is easy to use. I have only used my laptop twice, I think, since I got the surface. The keyboard is not that much different than my laptop keyboard. (Which is pretty normal sized.) And, since it has touchscreen, I don't even need a mouse. It has the mouse thing that is on the keyboard, but I never use those mouses. I usually turn them off, but I haven't turned it off on my surface yet, b/c it's the only way (that I've found) that you can hover. I'm in love with this surface thing. I'm surprised it's finished with all of your gazillion updates, lol.

BC, we didn't get the Surface. The college was suggesting the new Surface Pro, which last summer was running about $1200. That was too much money for us. We went instead with a Toshiba laptop.

Ahh, I see. They are too expensive. I wouldn't have this one if my husband hadn't insisted. I think that it will be worth it as long as it lasts for a while. (I've had my laptop for almost 7 years, and it looks brand new still (b/c the kids aren't allowed to use it, lol), but it just runs so slowly and inefficiently anymore.) Nice that you got your desktop all hooked back up and everything. I don't know how folks use their phones for doing internet stuff. I think that everything being in miniature would drive me crazy.
