Little man found a camera memory card at the Christmas Tree farm the other day. He gave it to us in the truck in the parking lot. We brought it home & looked at it tonight. Lots of family pictures (3 years worth of pictures on the card!!) so we looked at them and finally found a picture of the dad & son at a 5K with the family's address on the bib! So I can return the memory card to that address. I figured I'd mail it back in a Christmas card (to protect it so that it doesn't get torn out of a plain envelope). Should I tell them that we looked through the pictures until we found out enough info to find them. That sounds creepy but the whole reason we kept looking through the picture was to see if we could find names (I was planning to try to find them through facebook once I could figure out an adult's name).
So what do I need to say when I send the card back?

I think I would just tell them what happened. That your family found the card at the tree farm and that you looked at it in hopes of finding some way to identify the owner and return it. Personally, if it were my card you found, I would not be offended or creeped out that you looked at it. I would just be grateful you did and that you were able to find a way to get it back to me!
