My Mom's church has a ladies' Christmas dinner every year, and the ladies sign up to decorate a table. So this year I'm decorating one, and I thought I'd better set it up tonight just to make sure it would look okay and go together well. This is NOT the finished product b/c I am borrowing a white tablecloth and white napkins from my mom (I will not be using my old quilt from college or paper towels LOL), but I thought I just HAD to share it.  I'm thinking of picking up a little greenery for the centerpiece and to tie in with the napkins, but that will depend on how my day goes tomorrow. My husband painted the dishes and the little canvases on easels. The canvases will go home with the ladies who sit at my table. The glasses will also be painted; he's working on them right now. I will post individual pictures of the dishes sometime, but I didn't take any tonight. Isn't my husband just the best?  |

I didn't even know that you could paint dishes like that (and still eat from them, anyway). Are y'all cooking them in the oven afterward? They look very pretty. |

I didn't even know that you could paint dishes like that (and still eat from them, anyway). Are y'all cooking them in the oven afterward? They look very pretty. The paint isn't considered food safe, so we bought clear glass plates and he painted on the back. |

It was done backwards! Art said it wasn't as hard as he expected it to be, and he credits all his years studying Hebrew in seminary. Hebrew is written right to left.  |
