Cheese Straws by Joyfulbelle (Betty) Cheese Straws (from Paula Deen)
1 stick of softened butter 2 cups of sharp cheddar cheese shredded 1 and 1/2 cups flour 1 tsp salt 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
Mix well in mixer or food processor until you have a soft dough. Using a cookie press make three-inch strips. I used a small star disc and it makes ribbons. Place one inch apart on a lightly greased cookie sheet. Bake at 300 degrees for between 10 and 15 minutes. Remove from cookie sheet carefully and cool before storage. This recipe makes around five dozen or more. __________________ Betty

Here is a great one that I have and have used!!! (by MommaK)
Protein Power Bars! 3 c oatmeal 1/4 c dried Cranberries 1/4 c choc chips 1/3 c raisins 1 c flour (you can use whole wheat) 1 tsp baking powder 2/3 c peanut butter 1/4 c melted butter 1 c brown sugar 2 eggs 1 tsp vanilla
You add the ingredients together like you would for cookies. it is a very dry mix. I sometimes cut back on the flour and oatmela a bit. I also add other fruits and I usually food process them and the choc chips. Nuts are great in here too!!
Push it all into a pan with a wooden spoon. Cook 350 for about 20 m inutes. __________________ ♥Kimberly♥ ♥Strength and dignity are her clothing and she smiles at the future.♥
