I am starting the 17 Day Diet today. This past week I did South Beach, along with exercise, and am down four pounds so far. My motivation is a cruise that I am going on with my mom and sisters this summer.
Is anyone else just starting that would like to check in and help keep each other accountable? We could post how many pounds we are down, exercise, menus, etc?

I'm not really starting a diet or anything, but I have been trying to lose a few pounds that crept up on me while I was too busy being busy. I've lost six so far. Would like to lose nine more. Cheering for you!

Thank you BC. It's going pretty well. I had a couple days that I ate off the diet, but overall I feel like I'm making good progress and eating more healthfully. For example, for lunch today I had a cup of cream of mushroom soup, an apple and some stir fried bok choy. So I'm eating more fruits and vegetables than usual. The diet reminds me of South Beach, starting very low carb and slowly adding good carbs like brown rice or sweet potato. No processed carbs. The maintenance phase seems like a very reasonable approach, making it a doable life style change. Congrats on your six pound loss. I think I'm around there too, but I'm waiting a few days to weigh in.
