I'm looking at the Food Saver V4850 from Kohls (and yes, I posted this on H@H). Yes or No? I do freeze a lot, and have wanted this in forever. If no .... please tell why. If yes .... please tell why. Thanks!

I have a different model Food Saver and love it! We buy quite a bit in bulk and freeze in meal size portions. I buy my plastic in rolls instead of bags. That way I can make them as small or as big as I need them to be.
The only thing I don't like - which really isn't a problem - is sometimes the bags don't seal all the way if I'm doing lots of freezing. I just need to take more breaks.
Oh, make sure that there is an insert that you can take out and wash - when I'm doing chicken mine collects some 'juice' and it's nice to take it out and wash it. It may be standard on all the newer models. My old one didn't have it.

yes!
I freeze every meat I buy with it…and fresh veggies like summer sweet corn, green beans, etc.

I must have answered this on the other board! LOL We have one and use it often! If ours broke I would not even hesitate to buy another one!
