Im debating going to the urgent care place . I got sick out of the blue on Tues night. We were out to dinner and I got up to go to go to the ladies room. I suddenly got dizzy and felt like I was going to throw up. But I didn't until I got home I got home ,vomited a lot...and had a terrible pain in the front of my head and in the lower left back of my head, almost like a burning pain as I threw up . Wednesday I didn't feel great because my head was still hurting, but just in the back.Not an all over headache... and I felt fine otherwise. Hard to sleep. If I got into a good position I could fall asleep but if I moved the pain in the back of my head was like a lightening bolt. Same on Thursday. And yesterday my head hurt but it was tolerable. Today it's worse. It's just that one spot on my head that hurts when I move my head backwards or to the side.or bend forward or open my mouth.. and I've been taking Tylenol alternating with ibuprofen since Tuesday night with no effect. It's making me nervous. I don't know if I could wait it out till Tuesday. Still trying to determine if I should go. Feels like a sharp severe pain if I move a certain way. I guess I'd feel better if I went just to make sure it's nothing serious, but I feel silly going for a headache. But it does feel like something different and worse than I've ever had before

CT scan negative ( thank you God!) for stroke, bleed or aneurysm
IV pain meds, worked pretty well, and now on a med that is not taking care of the pain and I am nauseous.
But very grateful that it seems musculoskeletal

How wonderful that it isn't something neurologically serious! BUT it's still serious if it's causing you that kind of significant pain and nausea. I'm sorry you're suffering. Do you have a plan for Tuesday? Doctor? Chiropractor? Pile of puppies? That last one was just to make sure you were paying attention.

I tool Tramadol at 11 and it did absolutely nothing. My head got worse, if that's possible, and o got very nsuseous. Just took meloxocam and I hesitate to say it, bit I think it made the headache s bit less. Hoping... this pain is really awfjl. Laying down while house is quiet

Thanks. Feel better but still not great.Nor sure how I will work tomorrow. Hoping I make a big improvement today

Yesterday afternoon I felt so much better ( Pretty crummy, still, but so much better than I did!) But a few hours of being up, eating, etc, I felt awful again.Slept OK. Feeling OK now.. Just made pancakes and had to sit down... But thank you, Jan... Need to tun a corner and feel good again!! |
