I believe she is coming along slowly but surely. And I think she gets frustrated at times because she's not 100% yet, and she is too young and busy to have to rest and heal… I can understand that frustration, especially where she has a young, active family and is normally go-go-go. In time…..
Oh, she drove last week! So that's great. Her strength is coming along!!!! Thank you, Lord!!!!
Still praying for her. What a scary thing to go through.

My goodness ladies, thank you so so so much for your thoughts and prayers! My ordeal was the scariest thing that I have ever gone through!! I'll give you a little run down of the happenings. I still can't believe all of it. I of course can't remember anything. So I've heard from my hubby, sis, Doc and kids to tell me what happened. So, I had a history of diverticulitis going on 5 years and 4 infections. Doc was going to remove 12 inches of my colon that had the infected area. I went in for the surgery. After the surg I was taken from recovery to a room and started going downhill from there. Overnight my vitals just tanked and I went septic. They transferred me to ICU and Doc decided to take me back to surgery to see if they could find the problem. They did .... there was a perforation in my small intestine. So they removed the area with the tear and stitched me back up. They put me on life support (ventilator, feeding tube, sedation, etc) I was "sleeping" for 6 days they tell me. They tried to remove the breathing tube once and it didn't go so well. Finally when they were able to remove it and I was moved to a regular room. Was there for about a week. I began to recover. PRAISE GOD!! I was a naughty girl one night and pulled out my feeding tube. I'm not sure why, I just wanted to go home at this point I guess. Fast forward to now. I still have an open surgical would that is taking it's time to heal. I pack and dress it twice daily. I wish it would hurry up but apparently it had an abscess under it. My strength is coming back. My brain is still foggy somewhat. They tell me that for every day in ICU, it takes an extra week to recover. So, I'm hanging in.. got to drive again a couple weeks ago. I am trying to work (I do the books for our business) as I can. I'm enjoying my family and our dogs. LOL. I really am so thankful for all of you and your prayers. My hubby and kids, sis, friends and neighbors were such a blessing during the difficult time.
