A little update. Dd has a "convergence" problem with her vision which may be causing her headaches. Could it be something so simple? Well, not simple but maybe fixed with therapy?
We're visiting with a vision therapist at 10:30 today. Prayers please that this is something that could help and get her off of some meds. Right now she's on a cocktail of meds.
Also, the neuro did prescribe a medicine for when a bad headache hits and I can't remember the name of it right now. She hasn't had to take it yet. We received it the day of her really bad migraine. Keeping it only for those kinds of headaches.
Thank you all!

It's 99.9% not the problem. The eye specialist wants to see her 1 more time to rule out some other things. Because she wakes up in the middle of the night with a headache she can rule out vision as a problem. Everything else looks fine.
*Sigh*
Next on my list is the physical therapist. I need to get insurance clearance first.

What about her ears ? fluid build up or something in ear that might cause headaches? How about her teeth?
I had a root canal and a new crown put on a tooth-----and had headaches for 2 years....finally, they took the crown off, removed the packing inside the root canal, and a glob of infection that had been trapped under the crown came up....(gross i know).....for years everyone told me it was menopause related.
still just thinking outside the box for possible options and solutions

My mom has had severe migraines her entire life (she is over 60). A few months ago, in the middle of a horrible migraine, she went to a piercing specialist in a tattoo shop here in town and had an inner ridge of here ear pierced. It 100% worked. He took a lot of time putting pressure on different spots until he found just the right place, and after a life of suffering, she is free of migraines. She sometimes feels a headache coming on that never comes. She has gotten a headache once or twice but it quickly went away.

Awe, bless her heart. I'm sorry. Will pray for her. I know it's so hard when we don't know how to help our kids. ((Hug)) This might be too simple, since it sounds like y'all've done some exhaustive testing, but I'll throw it out there, just in case.. Is there a chance it could be triggered by hormones? When did it start? I ask this b/c I had some horrible migraines that lasted for a week sometimes when I was going through menopause. But, ever since then, I've only had (I think) one. You've probably already considered that, but just wanted to mention it, in case you haven't. Prayers. ((hug))

She's gotten the all clear from the pediatrician. No root canals. Just had her braces removed about 2 months ago. No sign of wisdom teeth causing issues.
We have discussed this. I read that it's best to visit an acupuncturist first to see where the right place would be. Unless I can find a piercer that specializes in this.
Doesn't seem to be. They happen daily with a few bad migraines a month.
But thank you all. You have given me things to think about. She needs to get better at tracking her food. We've weeded out the big ones. Nitrates, caffeine etc. But what if it's something like dairy?

I know I said this before- but mine is only cheese. Nothing else. Just cheese. Butter is fine. Hot dogs are fine. Cheese and I'm a total mess.

We're going to take all dairy out as a start then re-introduce and see if anything triggers.
