I don't think anyone has posted about this yet, is anyone doing a word for this year? I normally don't but I kinda feel like I might have one this year

I almost posted this last night!!! Was too tired, so went to bed instead… My Word is HEALTHY…( physical, mental, spiritual, emotional…. keeping me and my family healthy in all ways) Last year was all about doing it all, giving of myself… This year I need to take care of myself. Not in a selfish "I'm taking a break…. it's all about ME" way, but nurturing myself first so I can continue to take care of my family and all of the responsibilities that go along with that…. So, it is HEALTHY. Each year we post this here, and I struggle for days thinking of the word… This one is glaringly apparent and came to me easily! 2016 ( especially the last 2 months, left me exhausted, overweight, in pain, with high blood pressure and an occasionally irregular heart rate and rhythm…. I need to have all that checked out and concentrate on walking daily even in the cold…. take time to read a book, or watch a little TV to relax) I have not read a book in at least 4 months .  |

Wow, Cshore - that makes me exhausted just reading it! You do need to take care of yourself! My word for this year is Contend. I definitely have a mindset of "I can't," or "It's too hard." So, this year, I'm going to push myself to do the hard stuff - take care of my health; write regularly; publish; nurture and develop relationships.
My word is based on a verse in Deuteronomy where Moses is talking to the Israelites before they go into the Promised Land. While God is going to give them this land, they have to fight for it. They don't get to just stroll in. They will have to drive out the enemies and defeat the giants. They will have to contend for what God wants to give them and trust Him for the victory.
So, my word for this year is Contend! I don't know if I'm excited or completely freaked out - it depends on the minute of the day! lol

Last year my word was PERSEVERE. I wracked my brain all day trying t o remember what it was. Persevere… that I did… enough of that. Time for a quieter , healthier year.

chores....Do
you name it, whatever it is...exercise, eat healthy, etc....just Do.
do it yourself
do it consistently
do it joyfully
