I thought I would start a thread to post daily updates, mainly for accountability, but also in case anyone is interested.
Some background: I am in my (very early) 40's and have probably done every diet out there. I've been right near my goal weight many times, only to put it all back on. I have close to 100 pounds to lose ~ and, man, it pains me to admit that!
I started Day 1 today. This weekend I menu planned and we did a grocery run this morning. I love that the focus is on eating real, whole food in the right portion size. I also did the Total Body Cardio Fix workout and realized just how out of shape I am! Thank goodness for the girl who does the modification moves.
Feeling very positive about the whole thing and doing what I know I need to do: eat right and exercise!

I looked into the 21 day fix, too. Hope you have lots of success with it.

Hope it works well for you! I know someone else that just started it, too! She really seems to like it!

Forgot to update yesterday.
day 2 I woke up very sore from the first workout ~ at least I know that I did work some muscle groups! Since I did a lot of meal prep Monday, it was easy to stay completely on track with my eating.
Today is Day 3. Worked my lower body and actually felt good when I was done. I'm already noticing an increase in my energy level and am sleeping great at night.

Day 4 is in the books! I am loving this program. Today's workout was Pilates, which was a nice change of pace. I haven't been hungry at all and they even build in "cheats" if you need them.

At this point have you still had food prepped from the beginning part of the week? Do you find there is enough variety that you don't feel like you are eating the same thing every day?

Yes, I still have my food I prepped earlier. Since I'm not feeding an entire family, I was able to make a few recipes and portion them out. Some went in the freezer for another week and some stayed in the fridge for this week. So far, I'm feeling like I'm eating a nice variety of food. Tonight will be my first "test" with eating away from home as we celebrate my SIL birthday, but I am using one of my cheats for a little bit of dessert.

SO glad you are doing well on it!!! Thank you! Decided to to get adventurous today and made a veggie frittata with wheat toast and fruit. Almost felt like I was having breakfast at Wildflower Cafe, minus the yummy Rosemary potatoes.

Day 8. Eating is completely on track. Due to a sick baby and a hurt back, I have missed a couple of workouts but am getting ready to do cardio now.

Finished with Day 10 and had a small victory . . . I didn't sleep well last night and I worked at the school all day today. It was so tempting to skip the workout but I pushed play and powered through. Still completely on track with my eating. That will be my challenge next week when we all go back for teacher inservice ~ not traditionally a time of healthy food choices.

Day 15 starts today! I have done 100% on my eating. Truly have had no cravings or temptations. Working out, however, came to a screeching halt when I hurt my hip and then, while trying to walk to accommodate that, did something to my knee. Just walking is a feat right now. Cannot believe it, but I'm disappointed to not be able to work out but I need to be able to walk, especially as I go back to work.

Thanks for asking ~ still very tender so my workouts are limited.
But, I finished my first round yesterday and am down 8.8 pounds and 7.75 inches!!! I'll start round 2 today.
If you are considering starting the 21 Day Fix, I would encourage you to do so. I am truly never hungry and have already lost my cravings for "junk".
